OpenAI Debuts ChatGPT Health For Focused Wellness Guidance

OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Health, a new dedicated environment inside ChatGPT designed for conversations about health and wellness by separating health-related chats from users’ general threads, helping keep sensitive medical and lifestyle information siloed.

Within the Health section, ChatGPT can draw on relevant context from a user’s broader ChatGPT activity, such as prior discussions about training plans or nutrition goals. The product is also expected to connect to select wellness and health-data platforms, including Apple Health, Function, and MyFitnessPal, to surface more personalized, lifestyle-aware recommendations. OpenAI also emphasized that conversations within ChatGPT Health are excluded from model training, reinforcing its privacy positioning for this area.

By centralizing health questions and integrating optional data streams, the feature offers a convenient starting point for understanding symptoms, setting fitness goals, or preparing for doctor visits.
