For World Alzheimer's Day this year, the Caregiver Action Network set up a health awareness campaign of a different kind. While there is a ton of marketing that aims to educate the public and take a stand about the chronic disease by encouraging prevention, CAN's 'Take 1 Moment' campaign was designed to recognize the caregivers who look after loved ones suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
As CAN'S CEO John Shall aptly puts it: "Alzheimer's disease not only impacts those diagnosed, it affects the whole family." With the Take 1 Moment campaign, people were invited to share a memory or picture on social media by using the #Take1Moment tag on social media.
The first 1,000 people who used this hashtag were given the chance to reward an elected caregiver with a gourmet meal kit delivery from Chef'd.
