Photographer Jacob Ehrbahn created an intense photography series, which has been been compiled into a book called Headbangers. The entire image series focuses on still shots the photographer has captured of concert-loving music enthusiasts banging their heads to the beat of heavy metal.
Along with concert attendees, the series also features images of musicians as well. While headbangers are often captured in videos flailing their heads back and forth, these photographs capture the intimate emotions exposed during a mid head-bang.
The book focuses specifically on metal fans as they toss their heads to the music and truly feel each beat and powerful lyric being spewed by the artists on stage. The lightning fast head bangs are captured by an even faster shutter speed on the cameras -- which use an illuminating flash to highlight each emotion.
