If you've ever wondered what it's like to have someone do all the boring bits of eating for you, you can experience it at Feng Sushi's 'Hands Off!' pop-up this June. While it may sound like an unusual concept, all of the proceeds will go to a good cause.
The Hands Off! pop-up is a four-day event that is being held by London's Feng Sushi restaurant. For about $25, diners can enjoy a "set tasting menu featuring Nippon ‘mock’ duck (a Chinese pancake filled with cucumber, spring onion, caramelized tofu, and hoisin sauce; salmon, tuna and Japanese omelet nigiri; and vegetarian rolls." The catch is that diners won't have to lift a finger because everything will be fed directly to them by the wait staff. While this is a dream come true for tired diners, the pop-up is really a charitable effort with 100 percent of the proceeds going to an organization called Mary's Meal that donates school meals to children living in poverty.
