Fair Trade-Produced Rugs

These Handmade Rugs were Created with Tibetan Carpet Making Techniques

This non-profit organization called 'node' has teamed up with the Kumbeshwar Technical School in Kathmandu to create these beautiful handmade rugs. The rugs are are produced in Nepal using techniques of ancient Tibetan styles.

The design for each carpet was created by one of 18 professional artists who are working with node. Each artist created one design that is then transformed into ten limited-edition carpets. The entire process of creating the wool carpets from spinning the yarn to trimming and packaging is done in Nepal.

Each of these handmade rugs is autographed by the artist to add a flashy emblem, enhance the worth and add authentication. A few artists who are participating in this project include Donna Wilson, Geoff McFetridge, Jon Klassen, and many more.
