Lynx Motor Works is giving prospective owners an early look at the 'GT LM' by displaying its engine, supercharger and drivetrain hardware ahead of the car's early 2027 arrival. The invitation-only preview centers on the hand-built model being developed with Graham Rahal Performance.
A 5.2-liter Ford Performance V8 paired with a Magnuson supercharger anchors the display, along with a GRP titanium exhaust. Guests can inspect those parts at Volara's car condo during the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. Invitation-only allocation opens in January 2027, and the preview space is located at Turn 11 of Circuit of the Americas.
A run of 27 cars makes the GT LM a scarcity play for collectors, not just a coachbuilt performance project. With 24 commissions still available, Lynx is using the mechanical reveal to gauge interest before the full car reaches market.

Why This Trend Is Growing
- Mechanical-first Reveals
- Showcasing engines, superchargers, and drivetrain hardware before the finished vehicle creates new value around component transparency, technical storytelling, and pre-launch collector engagement.
- Ultra-limited Performance Runs
- Scarce production counts position specialty sports cars as both driving machines and investment-grade collectibles, opening space for brands that blend exclusivity with measurable engineering pedigree.
- Event-based Allocation Access
- Private previews tied to major motorsport weekends turn product discovery into a high-status experience, making allocation strategy part of the luxury purchase journey.
Industries Being Reshaped
- Luxury Automotive
- Hand-built, supercharged models highlight opportunities for boutique automakers to compete through craftsmanship, scarcity, and personalized ownership pathways.
- Motorsport Hospitality
- Grand Prix-adjacent preview spaces can evolve into premium commerce environments where affluent enthusiasts encounter vehicles, parts, and brand narratives in person.
- Collector Asset Services
- Limited-run vehicles with documented components and production caps strengthen demand for valuation, authentication, storage, and resale infrastructure tailored to automotive collectors.
