Halo by Benjamin Hubert Ensures Slowly Ripening Fruit

Halo by Benjamin Hubert may look like a simple fruit bowl at first, but upon closer inspection it becomes evident that a lot of attention and detail was put into its design. It boasts concentric ribs that give it the characteristically sunken design of a typical bowl. Like a stadium of miniature stairs, the surface of the bowl dips down one step at a time.

Designed for the Scandinavian brand David Design, Halo by Benjamin Hubert is made out of CNC cut solid oak. Aside from its stunning look, the geometrically ribbed effect serves a practical purpose as well. According to the designer, "[T]hese ribs allow for a minimum surface area contact with the fruit contents. This allows for optimum airflow beneath the fruit decreasing the presence of mould and increasing the shelf life of the produce."
