Animal-Free Material Purses

The Gucci Horsebit 1955 Bag Now Comes in a Demetra Material

The Gucci Horsebit 1955 bag has been launched by the luxury fashion brand in a new version to provide consumers with an animal-free option for their wardrobe. The purse is crafted using the brand's in-house-made Demetra material that's crafted out of 75% plant-derived raw materials to give the accessory a more eco-conscious profile for consumers to appreciate. The new accessory is the brand's first use of the Demetra material for one of its existing purse models and is arriving with the help of Billie Eilish who is fronting the campaign for the bag.

Eilish commented on the new Gucci Horsebit 1955 bag to Vogue saying, "I am honored to be part of Gucci’s evolution in rethinking tradition. It’s a new understanding, and one that isn’t afraid to evolve in a new direction, that truly matters to me.”
