The Nissan GT-R LM Nismo Has Front Engine Front-Wheel Drive

Nissan has unveiled the GT-R LM Nismo, the vehicle that will compete for glory in this year's Le Mans 24 Hours race. This car is essentially a racing version of Nissan's flagship vehicle, the GT-R.

The car has a rather unconventional front-engine and front-wheel-drive configuration. It is powered by a 3-liter V6 twin turbo petrol engine that is located in front of the driver, who can also rely on an energy recovery system to boost power.

The car also has a 5-speed sequential gearbox and carbon-composite body panels.

Testing of this new GT-R LM Nismo is still underway, and it'll be interesting to see how the team's drivers will cope with and take advantage of the car's unique configuration come the Le Mans 24 Hours race.
