Poland-based artist Kamil Czapiga has gained a massive following as a result of his stunning greyscale tattoos. As the art of tattooing has evolved, many artists have sought to use color as a way of adding texture and dimension to their tattoo designs. Czapiga opts for a different approach and chooses to forgo color in favor of simple black ink.

Czapiga creates his elegant greyscale tattoo designs through the use of black ink alone. He uses intricate techniques such as pointillism to give the images the illusion of texture and dimension. His detailed designs are inspired by folkloric imagery, Slav mythology, fairy tails and even spiritual concepts. Another common theme running through his work is that of animals, which are depicted in both realistic and geometric forms.
