Greenery-Laced Residential Towers

This Building Has a Cracked Facade Filled With Plants

MAD Architects has taken the concept of incorporating greenery into architectural facades to a whole new level with the advent of One River North, a truly spectacular high-rise residential tower in Denver that features a cracked surface that is stuffed with beautiful greenery.

Developed as part of a collaboration with the Max Collaborative, Wynne Yasmer Real Estate and Uplands Real Estate Partners, the One River North building's facade takes on a bold appearance in that the greenery doesn't run through it in a simple straight line, but rather a cracked shape that is akin to the aftermath of an earthquake.

Scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023, this building is an example of the progressive and unabashedly bold ways in which plants and greenery are being incorporated into urban architecture.
