Schlotzsky's New Mac 'n' Cheese Entrees Feature High-End Ingredients

Schlotzsky’s recently introduced a line of gourmet macaroni entrees that cater to the growing number of customers looking for more high-end dishes that do not stray too far from familiar comfort foods.

The new 'Macs' as Schlotzsky's calls them, come in four different varieties, each of which is made with Canestrelli spiral pasta and gooey cheddar cheese. Each Mac features a different combination of high-end ingredients, including hickory wood smoked brisket, pesto-marinated shrimp and roasted red bell peppers. The chain is also offering a kid-sized version of its gourmet macaroni, which is made with a smaller portion of pasta and the same gooey cheddar cheese sauce.

The new mac 'n' cheese entrees from Schlotzsky's demonstrate how chains can elevate their menus without straying too far from classic dishes.
