Nestle's popular Nesquik chocolate-flavored milk and drink mix is being introduced for a new generation with a vegan-friendly version called GoodNes. The ready-to-drink plant-based beverage is made with an oat milk substitute and pea protein—a combination of ingredients that was selected to closely mimic the nutritional profile of dairy milk. The chocolate-flavored oat milk drink is packed with plant-based protein, six grams per cup, and boasts 40% less sugar than chocolate almond milk.
While many Millennials grew up drinking Nesquik, those who have gone on to become parents are looking for better-for-you versions of nostalgic products from their childhood to give their kids. The dairy-free product has the potential to appeal to a wide range of consumers, whether they are sensitive to dairy or are simply open to exploring innovative plant-powered products.
