Shiner Beer, the independent family-owned brewery famous for Shiner Bock, announced its entry into the non-alcoholic market with the introduction of the Shiner Rode0 series, debuting with Rode0 Golden Brew. This marks a significant milestone for the brewery as the product is the brand's inaugural non-alcoholic release. The venture is informed by the increase of non-alcoholic beer sales in 2023—"over seventeen percent in Texas and 23% percent in the U.S. from the year prior."
The Rode0 Golden Brew features an ABV of less than 0.5 percent. The beverage embodies a classic American lager with a light, refreshing character. Shiner Beer made a point to retain crisp and malty notes, pairing them with gentle hops.
The Rode0 series is said to further expand in 2024, introducing additional non-alcoholic brews.
