The Glowfaster Jacket by Simon Weatherall Monitors Progress

— March 4, 2014 — Lifestyle
The Glowfaster Jacket started off as a protective piece of clothing that lit up to increase visibility for nighttime runners. Since then, it has evolved to boast fitness-tracking technology so that the wearer doesn't have to lug around other gadgets that monitor their progress while out for a run. This information is actually tied into the Glowfaster Jacket's lights. They only light up to show the wearer if they are training at their peak.

Designed by Simon Weatherall, a former marine, the Glowfaster Jacket was seen on BBC Dragons Den. It is currently seeking funds online at Kickstarter. Like something belonging in 'TRON: Legacy,' the Glowfaster Jacket is all black save for strips of blue lights. It also connects with an app to gather GPS data, link music and set a personal running pace.
