Ofis Arhitekti Installed an Astronomy Facility in Spain

OFIS Arhitekti's glass pavilion design is created to satisfy a love and curiosity for astronomy. Located at an isolated desert site in Andalusia, Spain, the structure ensures visitors privacy and an opportunity to freely extend themselves into nature and the wonders of the night sky. As an added bonus, the views during the day are also mesmerizing and enjoyable due to the site's elevation.

OFIS Arhitekti worked with manufacturer Guardian Glass on the glass pavilion design, which tested both companies' abilities in their respective fields. The site is known as having "one of the harshest environments in Europe," hence the material and the architectural framework of the glass pavilion design needed to be highly durable and insulated.
