Extreme Billionaire Donations

‘Giving Pledge' has Mark Zuckerberg Donating Most of His Wealth

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, at only 26, has become quite the billionaire philanthropist. After donating $100 million to Newark Public Schools and an unknown amount to Diaspora, an open social network project, the world’s youngest billionaire (whose worth is about $6.9 billion) is now promising to donate “most” of his wealth to charity, as a result of taking part in the ‘Giving Pledge.’

The ‘Giving Pledge’ is an initiative by Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, which has enlisted 57 other multi-millionaires and billionaires to donate more than half of their wealth to charity. Participants of the ‘Giving Pledge’ can make their donations either during their lifetimes or after death.
