It can be hard to be original these days, but Genevieve Gauckler has succeeded in a way for reasons that I think are quite obvious. Mainly, it seems as though she has imbued her work with not only her unique take on the world, but also her singular sense of humor.
Born in Lyon, France, Gauckler now lives and works in Paris. As a French artist, illustrator and art director, she is best known for minimalist, lovable characters as well as her technicolor digital collages. Yet what stands out to me in particular are Gauckler's works that meld the real world with her imaginative one.
Genevieve Gauckler considers her favorite breakfast cereals and her favorite TV series, Flipper, as her greatest influences.
