Hand sanitizer continues to be in low supply admits the COVID-19 pandemic, so brands like Garnier USA are stepping up with new initiatives that are targeted at supporting frontline workers who need the product most. The brand has announced it will be producing two million units of hand sanitizer that it will distribute free of charge to retailer workers in the areas of the country that are most affects by the virus. Additionally, the brand has committed to contributing $1 million in support of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
President of Garnier USA Alanna McDonald spoke on the new initiative saying, "We are very grateful for the hard work of essential employees and the service they are bringing to our local communities. Our number one priority at Garnier is to take care of each other. We are working as quickly as possible to produce hand sanitizers to help frontline retail employees stay safe and healthy during this Coronavirus outbreak.”
