Designer Hallgeir Homstvedt has created two gardening appliances, titled Tangent & Crow.
Tangent is a collection of porcelain vases accompanied by iron trays, a winning combination which allows the user to create their own unique floral arrangements. The base of each vase is curved, and when set atop the tray, it almost appears to be hovering above it. However, the vase balances on the tray by utilizing the pull of a Neodymium magnet against the iron. Aesthetically speaking, the silhouette and colors of each vase were inspired by still life paintings by Giogio Morandi.
Meanwhile, 'Grow' is a series of pots that have a similarly rounded silhouette as the Tangent vase, making them appear as though they are growing out of the wood they are based upon.
