The JCP Universe 'Coloniae' collection is a series of decor items for the home that accommodate plant growth to incorporate a touch of green into any space. Designed by Italy-based Gionata Gatto, the collection consists of two vases and a side table, which are each crafted with a series of perforated aluminum sheets. These sheets will allow plants to weave their roots throughout the entire body and merge the metallic components with natural ones.
The JCP Universe 'Coloniae' collection was explained further by Gatto who said, "The project is basically a collection of furniture pieces that are perceived as different habitations for a colony. [The furniture] interacts together by compenetrating each other with each piece being designed to host a different plant species."
