MICIS is a Latvian wine and game meat products brand who was in need of a charismatic yet authentic packaging scheme to showcase the character of the products. In order to achieve just that, MICIS worked with Janis Andersons, who took inspiration from the heritage feel of pen, paper and handwriting.
The results are a dynamic range that recalls imagery of a biologists experiment. Each wrapper denotes the flavor of that particular variety with a red circle around the elements in question. The game meat products range from moose, deer, boar, ostrich and rabbit. The wines include cherry, honey, strawberry and apple. The game meat products appear like gourmet chocolate thanks to a cardboard wrapper and slick red string tied around the package.
