Alaska Airlines unveiled the 'Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge' aircraft in celebration of Star Wars day, which is May the 4th. The plane's design was created in collaboration with Disneyland Resort and Lucasfilms. The plane itself features several iconic characters and spaceships from the Star Wars franchise, such as the 'Millenium Falcon,' several 'Tie Fighters' and the penguin-like 'Porg' characters around the plane.
The plane itself is a Boeing 737, one of the most common and most reliable plane models to date. In addition to debuting the plane's design, Alaska Airlines also announced a special promotion for Star Wars fans lucky enough to ride on the plane. While boarding, customers that wear Star Wars merchandise will be granted early access to the boarding process in celebration of the holiday.
