Star Academy is expanding hands-on education with miniature racing STEM programs that use Formula 1-inspired challenges to connect classroom concepts with practical skills. Developed with STEM Racing, the Future Ready Lab at Career Success Schools’ Sage Campus in Phoenix tasks students with designing, manufacturing and racing 1/20th-scale cars. Participants also create enterprise portfolios and pit displays while learning branding, financial planning, operations and project management. Finished vehicles compete on an 80-foot track at speeds of up to 31 mph, giving students a tangible way to apply mathematics and engineering concepts.
For Star Academy, the program strengthens its career-focused education model by exposing students to technical and commercial roles through one collaborative project. STEM Racing gains another U.S. learning environment for its international program. The partnership can also help schools connect academic instruction with workforce readiness while giving students opportunities to discover strengths across engineering, design, leadership and business.
