The ingredient, known as Avela natural (R)-1,3-Butanediol, is achieved through a fermentation process using plant sugars and offers a natural source of energy. The ingredient has no caffeine, salt or gluten and is thus suitable for use in a range of products. The sugar-free ingredient offers a quick way to increase beta- hydroxybutyrate (BHB) ketone levels and could thus be used in Keto-focused food solutions.
