Crocs has announced it is offering free shoes for healthcare workers in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help do their part to support those on the frontline fighting against the virus. The initiative has the brand giving away 10,000 pairs of its footwear away each day to the healthcare workers who need it most to keep them comfortable as they work. This is sure to come as welcome news to those who work in hospitals and elsewhere in the healthcare sector as the comfy, waterproof footwear is renowned as the choice for medical professionals.
The free shoes for healthcare workers initiative was explained further by Crocs CEO Andrew Rees who said, "Over the past week, we have spoken to health care workers, their facilities and even their family and friends, and they have specifically asked for our shoes in an effort to provide ease on their feet, as well as ease of mind as they need the ability to easily clean up before they go home to their families. The duration of our giveaway will depend on our level of inventory and the amount of requests we receive. These workers have our deepest respect, and we are humbled to be able to answer their call and provide whatever we can to help during this unprecedented time.”
