'Free Now,' a mobile platform for mobility services, partnered with 'Tier' to launch a free e-bike-booking service in Dublin, Ireland. Free Now was previously only used for booking mobility services, such as Taxis, busses, and other accommodations. However, now customers will be able to reserve an e-bike for a work commute or leisure ride whenever they desire.
The bikes are available on the new '2-Wheels' section on the Free Now app. This section will show locations of available e-bikes and valid drop-off locations for the same bikes, and will allow uses to select a pick-up location for their ride. Free Now Ireland's general manager stated that he believes "The integration of electric, micro-mobility on the Free Now app will enable our passengers to consider more sustainable transport choices in addition to our ECO booking taxi option," meaning this new integration will likely promote healthier lifestyles while reducing carbon emissions in the region.
