One of the top Wear OS wearables on the market -- the Fossil Sport Smartwatch -- recently received an update that streamlines its existing features. The update brings the model up to the May security patch which is an upgrade of its October patch. Additionally, the Android version also got updated to 8.1 Oreo. The update is being released to owners of the Fossil Sport smartwatch, and took approximately two weeks to roll out.
On top of the security and version updates is the new "watch-only" mode, which has been altered from the previous version. Notably, the Fossil logo has changed and a larger digital clock face has been added. Other changes include a date display underneath the clock.
