Ford and Renault have announced a partnership that will help to bring more affordable electric vehicles to Europe by leveraging both brands' prowess in the automotive space. The strategic partnership brings together the US-based Ford and France-based Renault, which will see Renault using the Ampere EV platform to built two new Ford vehicles specifically for the European market. The production of these vehicles will take place at the Renault ElectriCity hub situated in northern France, while Ford will take the reins with the design, tuning and overarching feel of each model.
The Ford and Renault partnership will prioritize innovation as well as affordability within the EV space, and is projected to have the new Ford-branded vehicles available for purchase in early 2028.
