Symrise announced an agreement to acquire 100% of Floral Concept, a French specialist in natural perfumery ingredients with a portfolio spanning jasmine, rose, orange blossom, ambrette and blackcurrant bud extracts. The deal will bring Floral Concept’s Grasse-region sourcing and extraction expertise together with Lautier 1795 within Symrise’s fragrance division.
The acquisition is intended to strengthen Symrise’s capabilities in premium natural ingredients and responsible sourcing. Symrise said the combination will unite Floral Concept’s producer relationships and botanical expertise with Lautier 1795’s heritage in fragrance ingredients, creating a more integrated platform for selection, sourcing, processing and innovation.
For brands and perfumers, the deal could provide broader access to premium naturals through a more unified supply chain. The transaction reflects growing industry demand for traceable, high-quality botanical ingredients and stronger sustainability credentials in fragrance development.
