These Danish Harbor Baths Double as School Classrooms
Katherine Pendrill — March 31, 2016 — Art & Design
CF Møller Landscape recently debuted plans for a trio of floating classrooms that will double as a hub for water-based activities. In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on immersive learning environments. This classroom brings education to the waterfront with a space that facilitates outdoor learning and water sports training.
The new floating classrooms will serve both the community and the Copenhagen International School. The proposed design embraces water and nature at eye level with a trio of circular decks jutting out into the harbor. These areas will act as both educational facilities and community hubs for events such as swimming lessons, boating and fishing. As the head of CF Møller Landscape Lasse Palm explains, "The project has tremendous potential as a community generator," due to its functionality as a teaching center and social trigger.
