Secretive Italian Automaker SUVs

Ferrari F16X is the Code Name for the Brand's First-Ever SUV

According to Car Magazine the Ferrari F16X is the code name for the brand's first SUV. The outlet, citing anonymous company insiders, says that the new SUV will be based on the existing GTC4Lusso shooting brake. The Ferrari F16X will have all-wheel drive and five doors with suicide doors in back. The engines are rumored to be a V8 and some sort of hybrid offering.

The Ferrari F16X is slated to debut in 2020 alongside the replacement for the current GTC4Lusso. If the Italian automaker does add an SUV to its lineup it'll be in keeping with the times. Lamborghini, Aston Martin and many other performance automakers have all succumbed to the demand of sales planners and are plotting SUVs. The Ferrari F16X will likely look more like a jacked-up wagon than a typical SUV once it's finally revealed. Ferrari SUV renderings by Vladan Mircevski.
