Motif FoodWorks is Creating a Fermented Meat Alternative with a Real Taste

'Motif FoodWorks' has been researching plant-based and sustainably-sourced products, and is now creating a fermented meat alternative. This meat is a plant-based protein with a taste that is genuinely very close to real meat products. The protein is named 'Hemami,' and it is created from fermented yeast. Motif FoodWorks has noted the importance of not only creating plant-based foods but creating sustainable foods that consumers enjoy eating. Motif FoodWorks does not want consumers to sacrifice flavor for social good when they can have both.

The Hemami protein has received a 'Generally Recognized as Safe' (GRAS) authorization from the FDA, meaning it is near its market phase. Should Hemami protein be finalized and set to market, Motif FoodWorks will begin mass-production of its innovative, yeast-based protein in 2022.
