For the purposes of bringing people and pets together on Valentine's Day, Chewy hosted a February 14th livestream event on TikTok to help pets find their forever homes. Chewy joined forces with the South Florida-based rescue Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League Some Buddy to Love to create "dating profiles" for adoptable cats and dogs. The virtual Valentine's Day event also included a kissing booth, animal show and tells and livestream footage of adorable animals.
For every view on TikTok Live, Chewy committed to donating one pound of food and supplies to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, up to 10,000. As part of the event, the TikTok community got to know animals and their personalities, like six-year-old Bingo, a goofy, smart and loyal dog, and Boots the 10-year-old cat.
