Oru Kayak has become synonymous with the burgeoning world of folding kayaks thanks to its first ever product released a decade ago, but the company is also aware of the growing competition in this space, which is precisely why it has gone ahead and dropped the scales in forging together its latest and greatest offering, the 'Lake' kayak.
Weighing in at only 18 pounds, the 'Lake' folding kayak is similar to its predecessors in that uses a polypropylene sheet for its folding mechanism, with the vessel able to be folded into a suitcase-like structure with dimensions of 42 x 10 x 18 inches.
Despite its low weight, this folding kayak can support up to 113 kg of payload.
Currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, the 'Lake' folding kayak can be procured for a pledge of $499.
