Fast Food-Inspired Furniture

This Collection Features a Hot Dog Couch and a Hamburger Arm Chair

'Maison&Objet' 2017 marked the ‘UN_LIMITED EDITIONS’ collection's debut into the world of upholstered furniture with a humorously stylish series of fast food-inspired furniture.

Taking the phrase "you are what you eat" to entirely new levels, this dynamic collection fuses humor and playfulness with highly functional, modern home design. The company considers the hot dog and hamburger as archetypal images of American pop culture and set out to create a furniture series that embodied those images. The series is comprised of a couch shaped as a hot dog, complete with tomato and cucumber throw pillows and a meaty log-shaped, mustard-covered body pillow. The arm chair maintains a similar aesthetic, posing as an open hamburger with a pickle-inspired arm rest. The adventurous series is both cheeky and unconventional, poking fun at American stereotypes, while simultaneously embracing them.
