The famous painting recreations by Lee Kyu-Hak appear to be paintings from afar, but up-close, one can see they use newspapers to create mosaics. These stunning mixed-media artworks by Kyu-Hak recreate paintings by famous artists.

To create these artworks, Kyu-Hak has wrapped wooden wedges with colorful pages of newsprint that mimic some of the world's most famous artworks. These mixed medias on boards include Van Gogh's chair, The Starry Night, Gauguins chair, Gogh's Almond Blossoms and other famous artwork recreations.

These beautiful mosaics create something new from old paintings, and the unique twist of the wood and newspaper is innovative and fresh. Kyu-Hak is a talented Korean artist who got his experience from The Graduate School of Arts at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Korea.
