This Family Fun Board Game Discourages the Use of Electronics

'Off The Grid' is the name of an all-new family fun board game that was created by nine-year-old inventor Brian Joiner and his father David Joiner.

There are an increasing number of board games that are being integrated with smartphones and tablets but Off The Grid encourages players to connect with people instead of digital devices. The game was inspired by the idea of turning all the lights off and playing traditional board games by flashlight. As such, the family-friendly board game entertains with a wide range of drawing, matching and activity games.

The game also introduces kids and parents alike to the #OffTheGridChallenge, which challenges families to go "off the grid" by turning off all non-critical electronics for 24 hours.
