Facebook Stories is a project that collects a variety of user-submitted stories on the theme of how social networking has opened doors for creating meaningful connections with others. In this particular story for Father's Day, father of two Matt Prestbury created a Facebook group, 'Black Fathers,' that is devoted to a discussing issues surrounding black fatherhood in America.
Over the course of six years, the group has accumulated thousands of members and continues to inspire both mothers and fathers to partake in shifting negative stereotypes.
As well as being an important forum on mindfully raising the next generation, the group is also meant to inspire discussion on other hot topics that go beyond the home, especially movements like 'Black Lives Matter.'
