Sydney-based studio Atelier Andy Carson created a cantilevered and extruded structure for "Beau Neilson – the daughter of art patron Judith Neilson and billionaire Kerr Neilson – and her husband." The home is characterized by an asymmetric layout and a strong visual connection with the surrounding farmland and coastlines. The architectural studio was able to give the extruded structure a 180-degree angle of breathtaking scenery as a "respectful celebration" of the site.
Located in Australia, the sizable extruded structure boasts a weather-appropriate design with a practical component. Atelier Andy Carson created the layout of the residency in an L-shape, boasting a courtyard with a pool, a vast lawn, as well as patio areas. The interior, as well as the exterior property, is kept as an open-plan living area.
