Exotic Honey Brews

Exotic Coffee Roasters Introduces a Flavor That's Sweeter Than Honey

Exotic Coffee Roasters have developed the red honey medium roast, a processed coffee which hails from Finca El Porvenir, a small farm in the Andes region of Colombia.

A careful balance of acidic and creamy properties, the red honey roast features an aroma of honey, vanilla and dried peaches, as well as a flavor of plums and syrupy sweetness.

The red honey process is one that requires nearly all of the coffee bean's mucilage to be left on the bean after washing. The beans are then dried in overcast conditions, but the thick mucilage layer helps retain the bean's red color. After two to three weeks, the drying process is complete, leaving a flavor that is both sweet and full bodied.
