Everyday Constructions Gives Ordinary Items a Chance in the Spotlight

Many artists and designers have made it their mission to bring ordinary objects into the spotlight and the Everyday Constructions series is the latest successful attempt. Interestingly, while many people become desensitized to certain items the more they see and use it, the inspiration behind the Everyday Constructions collection stemmed from truly seeing something that was passed by daily.

A collaborative effort between Sofie Samuelson and Hanna Billqvist, the latter reveals, "The idea for my furniture collection was born during a period when I passed a facade covered in scaffolding, day after day. After a while I began to think there was a subtle beauty to it." The Everyday Constructions series is filled with these unexpected versions of beauty. Most of the pieces in the collection are made out of wood.
