The Ernest Desk is aptly named considering its clean, streamline aesthetic. Yet there is something decidedly not ernest about a few of its features. First of all, the Ernest Desk boasts a hidden compartment that can hold a number of objects from paper and pencils to computers and other tech hardware. Secondly, it designed with a long, thin recess along the back of the legs for wires to run down them unobtrusively.
Designed by Borja Garcia Studio, a design firm based in Valencia, Spain, in collaboration with María Kim, the Ernest Desk was created for Puntmobles. Made entirely out of wood, it has a simple design that would complement just about any existing decor. In a way, it is a traditional piece of furniture tweaked to respond to 21st century needs.
