Stained glass may already be visually striking, but artist Eric Standley has taken his inspiration and run away with it. Creating incredibly intricate artworks using a laser cutter and stacks of colorful paper, Eric Standley sculpts artworks worthy of being placed in cathedrals around the world.
An associate professor of Studio Art and the Foundations of Art and Design Coordinator for the School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech, it is no wonder that Eric Standley is talented. Despite the fact that "he sleeps on rare occasions and dreams that with hard work and concentration he might one day become a modernist," as stated in his bio, Eric Standley adheres to the wondrous aesthetic of past practices and prolific works of art.
