This Silberstein Designed Pad is Paradise In and Out

Florida-based design company Silberstein Architecture have designed a luxurious, environmentally conscious home. The "green" design features include photo-voltaic panels for lighting, a solar water heater for the pool, an air-conditioning compressor, and a cistern for underground water irrigation.

The design also brought the outdoors indoors, with the high ceiling living area opening out into the patio and pool. The limestone floor on the ground floor and the teak ceilings continue from inside to out for a continuous, consistent effect that makes the distinction between the interior and exterior less noticeable. The combination of teak, limestone, and glass inside the home give it a very contemporary, minimal aesthetic.

Overall, the house is a spacious, light-maximizing design that considers to the environmental needs of our planet.
