Entrepreneurship-Focused University Pavilions

UQAM Focuses on Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The Université du Québec à Montréal — or UQAM, for short — has officially opened its new Entrepreneurship and Innovation Pavilion. This represents the institution's first major campus construction project in a decade. The project was realized with substantial financial backing from the provincial government and was developed through a collaboration of multiple architecture and engineering firms.

Situated in Montreal's Quartier Latin, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Pavilion is dedicated to supporting graduate-level management programs and entrepreneurial activities for the French-speaking community. The architectural design integrates a historic former school building, which was constructed in 1910, with a modern addition featuring a central, multi-story atrium illuminated by a large skylight.

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation facility is equipped with contemporary learning environments — from numerous classrooms and active learning rooms to state-of-the-art laboratories — and is currently pursuing LEED certification for its environmentally conscious design.
