Element Hotel and wearable tech company Fitbit are collaborating on its 'Walk the World' campaign. Starwood Hotel's fitness-focused branch Element is designed for today's healthy and active traveler and teaming up with Fitbit is right in line with the hotel's philosophy.
The Walk the World campaign asks travelers across the globe to track their steps using a Fitbit wearable. The goal for the project is to maintain a healthy lifestyle and one of the most effective ways to do so is walking. Element Hotel's goal is to amass a total of 29 million steps from all participants combined, which equates to the distance from Canada to China, essentially creating its virtual world tour. Walk the World will also reward participants at certain checkpoints and prizes include Fitbit products and rewards points for Starwood hotels.
