Potted Plants Filled the Seats at Barcelona's El Liceu Opera House

One prominent lesson consumers are learning from lockdown is the importance of connecting with nature, and Barcelona's El Liceu Opera House is doing just that, by putting on a concert for nearly 3,000 potted plants.
This artistic endeavour, dubbed the Concert for the Biocene, was inspired by the Spanish artist Eugenio Ampudia, and his time spent in quarantine, in which he developed a deeper connection and appreciation for nature. The orchestra played ‘Crisantemi’ by Puccini to the flora-covered theatre, and the experience was described as "a visual poem, both a subtle metaphor but one which makes us smile,’" by Victor Garcia de Gomar, the Liceu’s artistic director.
The concert was livestreamed online for people to witness.
