Expertly Crafted Mezcal Expressions

El Cristiano Debuts a Spirit Made from Espadín Agave

The agave spirits producer El Cristiano has introduced a new mezcal to its portfolio. Crafted in the San Luis del Río region of Oaxaca using traditional methods, this young expression is made exclusively from Espadín agave, which undergoes a process involving underground pit roasting with wood, fermentation with wild yeast in pinewood vessels, and a double distillation in copper pot stills.

El Cristiano emphasizes that the production process for the new mezcal, like all of its products, is devoid of additives. Instead, the brand highlights transparency, artisanal techniques, and a commitment to supporting the local communities involved in its supply chain. The resultant spirit is bottled at 88 proof. It presents notes of roasted agave, black pepper, and citrus, with a characteristic smoky quality and a smooth finish.
