Dobel Tequila Launches the 'Dobel Tahona Tequila Blanco'

— November 18, 2025 — Lifestyle
Maestro Dobel® Tequila has introduced 'Dobel Tahona Tequila Blanco' to the U.S. market, highlighting a return to traditional, artisanal production methods. This 100% organic Blanco tequila is "crafted exclusively from Blue Weber agave grown on a single estate in the volcanic valley of Tequila, Jalisco, where each plant matures for more than six years resulting in an expression composed of only three ingredients—organic agave, water, and wild yeast—reflecting a commitment to purity and simplicity."

Production centers on the historic tahona process, during which a large volcanic stone wheel slowly crushes cooked agave hearts to gently extract their juices. The mixture of liquid and fibers then ferments for six to seven days in wood-lined, open-air vats using naturally occurring ambient yeast before undergoing double distillation in small copper pot stills. The result is "a 40.5% ABV Blanco tequila with refined notes of cooked agave, white pepper, lemongrass, and eucalyptus," suitable for sipping or classic cocktails.
